We all have heard below story (Story 1):
One sunny day, a rabbit and a tortoise had a big fight. The rabbit was very proud of his fast speed and often laughed at the tortoise slowness.
The Rabbit challenged the Tortoise to run a race and settle the argument. The agreed on a route and tortoise accepted the challenge. They chose a distant tree as a winning post and the race began.
The Rabbit got ahead of the tortoise as he was a fast runner. When Rabbit had gone half the distance, he said to himself,” Why do I need to hurry? The Tortoise is far behind and not to be seen. Let me take rest under this tree and relax for some time and then continue the race.” So he lay down and soon fell fast asleep.
The tortoise came at his slow pace, found him asleep and peacefully passed him. He reached the winning post and waited for his friend.
When the Rabbit woke up, it was evening. He ran as fast as he could. But when he reached the place, he found that tortoise has already reached there. He felt greatly ashamed and disappointed for having lost the race and promised never to make fun of others.
Moral: Slow and steady wins the race.

The rabbit was disappointed at losing the race and he analyzed what happened. He realized that he’d lost the race only because he was overconfident and careless and he took Tortoise for granted.
If he had taken things seriously, there’s no way the tortoise, could have beaten him.
So he challenged the tortoise to another race. The tortoise agreed to race again. This time, the rabbit went all out and ran without stopping from start to finish.
He won by many miles.
Tortoise then thought for a while and analyzed that he could never win a race with Rabbit as he was much faster, and challenged the rabbit to another race, but on a slightly different route.
This time the route was decided by Tortoise. The rabbit agreed.
When the race started rabbit ran consistently fast but had to stop as there was a broad river in between. The tortoise came slowly and swam to the opposite side and finished the race as the winner.
Moral: Identify your strengths and play to show case your strengths.
The tortoise and rabbit, by this time, had become good friends. They both knew their strengths and weaknesses. They did some thinking together and decided to have a final race.
Both realized that the last race could have been run much better and to run as a team this time.
They started off, and this time the rabbit carried the tortoise till the riverbank. There, the tortoise took over and swam across with the rabbit on his back.
On the opposite bank, the rabbit again carried the tortoise and they reached the finishing line together.
Both the tortoise and rabbit felt a greater sense of satisfaction than they’d felt earlier.
Moral: Teamwork rocks!!
